We’re in the middle of that stifling Dallas humidity right now – the kind where the city is a ghost town outside of lunch hours and early evenings. It’s ridiculous. Surprisingly, this blazer kept me cool. The white bounces light, and the thin fabric keeps it breezy. Long sleeves sound crazy, but it covers you up from the burning sun. I had a tank top underneath for when the weather turns into a baking kind of heat, instead of broiler.
When I first planned on this outfit, I was afraid it might be a bit too casual – what with everything so flimsy and loose. Thankfully, the structured bag and heels improved the outfit as a whole. I think that is key to making casual items corporate friendly – balancing them with structured pieces.
